A musical feast with Abakis

We met Aba Kiser–the woman behind the moniker Abakis–through a common friend (hey, Cassandra Jenkins!) and we were immediately captivated by her ideas about mixing music and food. All that is coming to life on November 23rd, when Abakis is presenting her debut album I'm One Too with a unique event in New York City.

She describes it as "a local harvest celebration and musical feast," which gives a pretty good idea of what to expect. On the musical side: sets by Brian Dolphin and Lily Virginia will lead to a special show by Abakis featuring a full brass and strings section. NY to Berlin transplant André Baum will be closing out the night with an electronic dance party. In the food department, there will be "Thanksgiving themed lite fare" with local products from Farmigo, Great Frogs Winery, Stokes Family Farm and many more. All put together in the historic Judson Memorial Church.

What else? How about free copies of MOOD for everyone? Sure, no problem.
